Update your profile, password and sessions

Change account contact details, set a new password and review or revoke signed-in devices securely.

Use Settings > Account to update your profile or password. Use Settings > Security to review signed-in devices and remove sessions you no longer recognise or use. To change the email address used to sign in, see Change your account username.

Before you start

Have your current password available. If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled, Track My Ride may also ask for a current authenticator code when you make a protected change. For setup, backup-code and recovery instructions, see Set up and recover two-factor authentication.

  1. Open Settings > Account.
  2. Select Update account information.

  1. Under Sessions, compare the device, IP address and last-active time with devices you recognise.
  2. Select Revoke beside an unfamiliar or retired session, or select Sign out all other sessions when every other login should be removed.
  3. If you did not create a session, change your password and review 2FA immediately.

Review push-notification registrations

  1. On Settings > Security, find Push notifications below the session list.
  2. Compare the platform and shortened key with the iPhone or Android app installations you still use.
  3. Select Test to send a test notification to one registration. Wait before repeating the test because test delivery is rate-limited.
  4. Select Remove for a retired, duplicated or unrecognised registration.

Removing a push registration stops notifications to that app installation. It does not revoke the device's login session, change alert rules or remove registrations for other devices. Use the Sessions controls separately when the device must also be signed out.

For a complete delivery test and phone-side checks, see Test and troubleshoot push notifications.

What happens next

Profile changes appear when Track My Ride next displays those details. A password change invalidates the old password. Revoking a session prevents it from accessing the account again. Signing out linked mobile sessions can also require Location Sharing users to sign in again. Removing a push registration affects notification delivery only for that registration.

Troubleshooting

  • If a profile change is rejected, confirm the required fields and complete any password or 2FA prompt.
  • If you do not recognise a session, revoke it, change your password and review 2FA. Never send Support your password or authentication codes.
  • If Sign out all other sessions affects a linked phone, have the authorised user sign in again and verify Location Sharing before relying on new positions.
  • If a push test is rate-limited, wait and try again later rather than repeatedly selecting Test.
  • If notifications continue after removing a registration, confirm that another registration for the same device or app installation is not still listed.
