Application settings

You can set various options for how your Track My Ride account functions from within your account settings page.

How to change your account settings

  1. Access your Track My Ride account at https://app.trackmyride.com.au or use the mobile app.

  2. Navigate to your account settings page by clicking this icon
     

  3. Click the Application Settings tab.



Changing the default settings

You have the option to configure default settings each time you access your TMR account, tailoring them to better suit your preferences and requirements.
  1. After you have finished selecting or changing the settings, ensure you save your changes by clicking the Save button at the bottom of the page.


  2. Your new default settings have now been changed to your account. If you wish to apply your new settings immediately, click Confirm to reload the app.

General settings

  1. Home page

Choose the default page that loads when you first log into the app. 

Track My Ride now offers mobile tracking. You can control whether or not to show this page to help setup mobile tracking on your mobile device in the TMR app.

Map settings

  1. Seconds before stopped

Seconds a vehicle is stopped before a stop is marked on the map and in playback. This is separate from the journey report.
  1. Vehicle sort order

Chose the order to display your vehicles - Most recent activity, name ascending or name descending.
  1. Paths to display

What length of time of vehicle data should the Map page draw - 5 minutes, 1 hour, 12 hours, etc.
  1. Playback to display

When you click on a vehicle or driver's map marker to enter playback mode, what length of time should be shown - 15 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, etc.
  1. Map tile style

Choose between a satellite view of the map or a street map.
  1. Map options

Choose to turn the following options on or off.
  1. Group markers: Group vehicle or driver markers, when close together.
  2. Label map markers: Display the vehicle or driver's name above its marker.
  3. Auto-fit map to markers: Track My Ride can automatically fit the map to show all vehicles if there has been no map interaction in the last 4 minutes.
  4. Snap to road: Snap recorded vehicle and driver tracks to the closest road
Alert
A snapped path is approximate and may not match the actual path travelled. Walking speeds below 15km/h won't be snapped.
  1. Paths layer: Show the recent history for vehicles and drivers on the main map. To set the amount of time shown, see Paths to Display above.
  2. Zones layer: Show your zones on the map page
  3. Heatmap layer: Show a heatmap of the areas most travelled by your vehicles and drivers.
  4. Show marker coordinates: Show the geographic coordinates in the marker popup on the main map.
  5. Show map marker closest address: Show a button to lookup the closest street address to a map marker.
  6. Show exact timestamps: Show exact timestamps instead of relative times for vehicles and drivers on the map.
  7. Enhanced satellite map zoom: Allow one extra level of zoom on the main map.

Journey settings

Idea
Journey settings are applicable for the Fleet Metrics plan only.
  1. Driver auto logoff

Automatically log a driver out of a vehicle at the end of a journey.

  1. End of journey

How long should a vehicle be stationary before the journey is marked complete?
Choose between 3, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes.
  1. Journeys default to

Should journeys default to business or private for your reports? Existing unmodified journeys in your reports will be updated to this value.
  1. Journey auto-classification

The order of precedence, in ascending order, to classify your journeys as business or private based on your zones, rosters, and reservations. A successful match will override an earlier match.

If a journey is classified as Business by Zones and Private by a Roster, then the Journey will be classified as Business.

Should your rosters and reservations have their time periods padded? This can be useful if you wish to classify a journey that begins just before or ends just after a roster or reservation's time period.
